Just A Few More Days Here

Since the last email, lots has happened. That afternoon we met with one of the heads of the Mara Lion Project. This professional group not only monitors, it also has vets that care for ill or injured big cats. We had a very interesting discussion on many topics including the negative effects of too many tourist vehicles on wildlife. A very complex and complicated issue. Later, with a big storm approaching, our two Land Cruisers flew across the Conservancy to join a few other vehicles to “observe” a lone, tired, stressed wild dog……see the irony. After a muddy drive back to camp, we sloshed through puddles and newly formed streams to our tent for the night.
